New Life for an Old Stool

Moving day is one week away! All my craft things are packed up, but I did get one last project done. Before it came into my home, this great old stool was the property of my favorite land surveyor, my old boss. Before the recession hit, I was his office manager for many years. This stool is where he sat every day. Sadly, Steve passed away a few years ago. His wife was kind enough to let me take home a few things from the office.

Anyway, it's quite sentimental, but it wasn't very pretty. I really like it now! Bright white paint and our new address stenciled on top. The number stencil came from Dollar Tree, by the way, and it's a great quality plastic stencil.

I staged these photos on our tiny patio which looks better than it ever has. We planted tomato and cucumber plants this year- they're starting to bear fruit just in time for us to move- waa, waa, waa.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have more to look at outside my window than a high walled patio and a view of a roof vent!

  1. Congrats! PS can you pot the plants for the move? they've got support cages 😊

    1. Thank you! Yes, we're going to try it- we have 5-gallon buckets all ready to go!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
