Dang! That was some good oatmeal!

I would show you a picture of the oatmeal, but I ate it too fast! We love oatmeal around here and we're always looking for new ways to enjoy it. I think I've got a winning combination here and since school is starting soon, maybe some of you will try this with your ducklings.

Here's how you do it:

1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup water
1 T. peanut butter
1 ripe banana

Put the first three ingredients in a microwave safe bowl (peanut butter doesn't have to "combine"- it will melt and get stirred later) and cook on high for 2 minutes, 30 seconds. Mash the banana into the oatmeal and cook for 30 more seconds. Give everything a good stir, add milk and enjoy!

Seriously- creamy, dreamy, peanut buttery delicious!

  1. We love oatmeal in my house too! Although in the summer we usually have yogurt and fruit and in the winter some nice hot oatmeal.

  3. Okay, I'm weighing in as an oatmeal dork. I recently started eating steal cut oats and I adore them. I add one teas. of molasses, so yummy!
