Here's how you do it:
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup water
1 T. peanut butter
1 ripe banana
Put the first three ingredients in a microwave safe bowl (peanut butter doesn't have to "combine"- it will melt and get stirred later) and cook on high for 2 minutes, 30 seconds. Mash the banana into the oatmeal and cook for 30 more seconds. Give everything a good stir, add milk and enjoy!
Seriously- creamy, dreamy, peanut buttery delicious!
We love oatmeal in my house too! Although in the summer we usually have yogurt and fruit and in the winter some nice hot oatmeal.

Wow, this DOES sound yummy! I've never thought of adding peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm weighing in as an oatmeal dork. I recently started eating steal cut oats and I adore them. I add one teas. of molasses, so yummy!
