Hello Friends!
Today is day two of my diet and I am happy to report that I'm doing super well! I feel like a train! I'm on track and I'm not going to be derailed. I think I can...I think I can...!
I made a top and a skirt and I am so pleased with myself! The top is from Butterick pattern B4468, but modified quite a bit. The skirt is from Princess Nimble-Thimble's terrific tutorial. I love it! It went together really well, was easy and it's comfortable! I like that it's so easy to customize. The waist measurement is based on your own measurements and the flare of the a-line is up to you as is the length, of course. Try it- you'll like it!
Geez, I've been in front of this computer all morning! Step away, Bettsi!
Hugs to all!
Beautiful! Those colors look lovely on you! I'm very much into a skirt thing this summer, I may need to try one of these too.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are YOU!?!? You look great in those colors.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the easy skirt ever!? Sometimes I skip the A-line bit and make the waist the same as the bottom (with thin fabrics). But for the most part, that's all that's in my closet.
Hey! I just noticed the link to Quaker.org in your sidebar. We *are* kindred spirits. I have it bookmarked and visit often. I wish there was more than one Quaker church in St. Louis.
by the way, just think how easy it'll be to sneak inside that waistband-casing and cinch up that elastic when it gets too big! :-D
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty, Bettsi, and they look great on you! I'm going to have to check out that tutorial! Josephine
