Tuesday night I had so much fun working on my little purse project. I was "in the zone", so to speak. The problem with getting "in the zone", is that when you cannot get there again, you go through withdrawal symptoms. For me, at least. Playing with fabric is like a high. When I can't do it, I am so frustrated and upset. I did make some darling fabric flowers (kanzashi) which will be brooches that the girls can wear on their purses or on their persons. Well, I started them anyway, but they still need their button centers and pinbacks.
Yesterday was horrible. Earl has a new injury. He's on crutches and pretty useless. He'll be fine in about six weeks, but in the meantime....well, any married woman knows what I'm in for. For this and lots of other reasons (mostly Murphy's Law), no crafting was done last night. It was just one of those evenings where the demands kept getting bigger and the clock kept racing faster until I gave up and went to bed in tears. So silly, I know.
Not silly at all - been there too! I can't help but think that if these three monkeys would detach themselves from my legs (quite literally) for just a few hours, I could get a lot done. I wish I were a nightowl and able to stay up until 2am, but I'm dragging by 9pm. It takes me forever to finish one project . . .
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your purses!
You've got an ill/injured husband in the house ?
ReplyDeleteAIEEEEE - poor you.
Sorry you had a bad day. I hope today was better.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your flowers.
As a married woman who's been there more times than I care to remember, you have my complete sympathy, dear friend. I wish Earl a speedy recovery. Josephine
