Look! Look! See what Helene made for me! Is it not exquisite? I am completely enchanted with this darling bonnet! In the second photo you can see the lace that she overlaid on the crown. So beautiful! She also did silk ribbon embroidery on the ribbon that wrapped around the crown. This is such a beautiful object! I think it will fit the Old Fashioned Doll from the EFA book perfectly! Another project! But I'm so inspired by this beautiful, beautiful bonnet! This is the doll I made in exchange:

I love the hat, but I love the doll you made more. And to anyone else, the pictures don't do her justice. You cant imagine how beatuiful that doll is in real life. I just wanted to hold her all the time. I miss her. ;_;
ReplyDeleteThe doll is darling and I adore her lace collar! The hat is a work of art! Such talented and skilled women! Josephine
ReplyDeletethe hat is wonderful- lucky you! I hope it fits your girl or you'll have to make a special doll just to wear it :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso, about Susan Sirkis- her books are such a great resource. I used the men's fashion book as a starting place when I was making the suits for my groom dolls.
Wow! That hat is incredible. And your doll is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteIts the shoes that make me smile! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I love the hair, and how on earth did you make the facial features??
ReplyDeleteWatch out Hillary - there's another doll-maker in town!
